Personally I find motivation is the most difficult obstacle on the path to health and fitness, it’s much easier to be lazy. I had tried getting fit using several other personal trainers in the past with only limited success because they didn’t offer value for money and didn’t create the motivational atmosphere I was seeking.
In November 2006 I realised my life was too high in stress and too low in spare time and my limited amount of exercise was not achieving much. I decided to give personal training another go and joined up with Archie Basil for 2 sessions a week.
In regards to my fitness and health goals this was the best decision I could have made. My trainer has been genuinely interested in me and what I want to achieve. The sessions have been tailored to meet my needs with lots of variety in activity, different training techniques and the right level of support to motivate me. My trainer is friendly, understanding, motivating and knowledgeable - is open to feedback, reliable and flexible when other things crop up.
Since I have started training with Archie I have more energy, am able to better cope with the stresses in my life and I feel better about myself - because I look better, feel healthier and stronger and I am achieving my goals.

Archie from Basil Bodies has been the main influence on me getting my life back on track. After retiring from the Australian Paralympic Team for swimming, I lost a lot of mobility and found it very had to do everyday activities like walking and even sitting comfortably at my desk.
I have been training under Archie for over one and a half years now and not only have I lost weight, but I have increased my mobility by over 90%. I now don’t have to use my wheelchair everyday, and I feel confident now to go out without it.
My training has progressed so well that I am now training to become the first female in history to play wheelchair rugby for my country at an Paralympic games.
I owe it to Basil Bodies and especially Archie for helping me believe that life can always be easier, and that if you set your mind on something you can achieve it.

We had just turned 50, and wanted to stay active, ski occasionally and drink wine often. Losing weight and gaining condition would not go astray either. We had been both going to the gym regularly (3-4 times per week) for a year or so and I (Janet) had a weekly session with a personal trainer. I was looking for a new trainer and was recommended to Archie Basil. Very quickly, Archie has lifted my training to another level altogether. As a result, after 3 months, the chronic stiffness in my back has been resolved, I am fitter and stronger and have lost several centimeters already!  A bigger change is that my approach to exercise has changed and I am getting a far greater return for my efforts. I find that I now work a lot harder on my own and my commitment to going to the gym is increased. 
I suggested to my husband he should see Archie as well. Begrudgingly, he agreed. Now he looks forward to his weekly hour session with Archie. 
The first thing you notice about Archie is that he is an expert fitness and strength coach and is passionate about his craft. He has a real understanding of sports psychology and motivational techniques. This is a world apart from all those trainers out there who like going to the gym and think they can train others.
Secondly, Archie is a talented communicator and has excellent teaching skills. He reads people well, so that he can tailor his approach. You get the feeling that he is ambitious for you and really gets a kick out of your success.
Finally, Archie has a great network of similarly highly skilled and professional allied health and sports medicine specialists to support our needs.

When I first started training with Archie from Basil Bodies, I couldn't find the motivation to get into an exercise routine and during my very first session I couldn't complete one full body push up. I felt constantly tired and my self esteem was at a low point. Combined with a healthy eating plan, regular exercise and my personal trainer/motivator Archie.
