One thing that alot of people will do when they want to lose weight, or drop a dress size or get bikini/beach holiday ready is cut out food groups.
Restrict, restrict,restrict!!!! This is a complete recipe for disaster. You will end up with a very limited amount of food choices, you’ll become bored real quick with what you’re eating and it will end up making you crave all the foods you’ve been taking out of your diet in the first place.
I’m all for restricting but it’s more like potato chips, biscuits, soft drinks, alcohol, fast food ...convenience food that you should be restricting and replacing with better options such as fresh fruit and veg, lean protein, unprocessed carbs and omega 3 fats.
I don’t diet ...EVER! I love all kinds of food too much.
With a little education,practice and discipline I’ve worked out what foods work for me and which ones don’t.
Here’s how I make these super tasty green pancakes that will help you burn through fat not store it -
In a blender or magic bullet blitz-
- 1 cup egg whites
- 1 egg
- 1/2 cup low fat ricotta cheese
- 2 handfuls baby spinach
Cook in a lightly sprayed pan for a few minutes and turn.
This should make 4 pancakes.
Once cooked add your favorite fruit, a dollop of chobani yoghurt, drizzle of Flaxoil and 1/2 tablespoon toasted almond flakes.
