Do you find yourself looking in the mirror and comparing yourself to someone else?
How many of us do this?
I know I have plenty of times and still do.
The problem here is we start to lose focus on our own goals.
We take our focus and energy away from us and put it into someone else and what seems like the perfect body or someone getting better results than us.
We start beating ourselves up for not being good enough or maybe we think we haven’t tried hard enough.
What haven’t we done, what should we be doing to look like that, what’s the secret, what am I missing?
Then the self sabotaging begins....
We start self sabotaging when we get stressed over something so we turn to comfort food to make us feel better.
We self sabotage when we stuff up so skip going to the gym because we think what the hell !
We self sabotage when we have a crap day and scoff down a packet of biscuits.
We self sabotage when we try on something and it doesn’t look like it did on someone else so we feel like nothings working.
We start to doubt ourselves and what we are doing and compare our choices to someone else’s.
There is no point in comparing yourself to someone else that you know nothing about or have no idea about what’s going on behind the scenes.
You don’t know their starting point or what their lifestyle is like compared to yours.
Pretty much 99.9% of what we see in SM is complete and utter BS, photoshopped and filtered.
Keep your focus on you and what you are doing and not on them!
Make your goals your priority and not prioritising the results of someone else.
If you’re making progress towards your goals big or small it’s worth being proud of !
